|The first of four built, finished Sand over Sable with Tan hides as when it was featured as the 1959 New York Show Car. This is the much photographed automobile shown in many publications with Harold Radford himself at the wheel.
It was the subject of a no effort spared painstaking restoration after which it was shown for the first time ever at the 2004 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance commemorating the 100 Year Anniversary of the Company where it captured the Second Place Class Award even though in the opinion of many it was superior in condition and execution to the First Place Winner (also restored by ourselves). It also took an RROC Concours Class Award the following week at the national meet in Monterey, California and recently won it's class at the 2007 Naples, Florida Concours d' Elegance.
An "new old stock" air conditioner of the period has subsequently been neatly installed so that the car may be enjoyed in warm weather traffic.
This is a mechanically superb completely refurbished example which will likely require no further attention to any aspect for many years to come. Complete books and tools accompany the vehicle along with the extensive factory history and restoration files.
Recognized as by far the finest specimen extant, it is in any case the sole available candidate for acquisition as the current locations of the other three have been determined and none is offered for sale.
